About Us
Ron Kline opened his first rental go-kart themed amusement area, "Ronny's Rent-A-Kart", just outside of Washington, D.C., in 1962. In 1967, he moved to Florida and began looking for an opportunity to establish a family entertainment park in the Orlando area.
On February 1, 1968, "Lil 500 Go-Karts" opened the original go-kart track, now known as the "Family Track", just north of Maitland. Over the years, the Orlando attraction has featured a Mini-Bike track, a Giant Slide, a Back-Hoe Dig, and a Miniature Golf.
Today, Lil 500 Go-Karts has a "Family Track" with double seated karts to accommodate an adult and small child, a "Moto Track" for the more adventurous, the original "Fastrac" which is an exciting driving experience for those 10 years of age and older, and two covered-fenced picnic areas for parties and groups
After 50+ years of continuous family operation, "Lil 500 Go-Karts" remains a fun place in Orlando for all ages at affordable prices, night or day.
